Step into The Stanza Room, an intimate gathering where poetry and fellowship come together. Presented as part of The Museum of Kansas City’s Restorative Poetics Initiative, this ongoing series celebrates the power of poetry to connect, inspire, and build community. Join us for an inspiring afternoon featuring acclaimed poet and UMKC Creative Writing Professor Jennifer Maritza McCauley.
Jennifer Maritza McCauley is the author of the story collections Scar On / Scar Off, When Trying to Return Home, and Neon Steel as well as the poetry collection Kinds of Grace. Her work has been named a New York Times Editors’ Choice; a Kirkus Reviews Best Fiction Book of the Year; and a Must-Read by Elle, Latinx in Publishing, Ms. Magazine, and Southern Review of Books. Jennifer also serves as faculty at the Yale Writers’ Workshop.
