Have you ever wanted to explore Cliff Drive with friends? Now’s your chance! This fall, The Museum of Kansas City is partnering with the Kessler Park Conservancy and E-Z Pedicabs to offer guided pedicab tours along historic Cliff Drive, which is part of the Kansas City, Missouri Park and Boulevard System.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Kessler Park Conservancy.
Your adventure begins and ends at The Museum of Kansas City, where you’ll check in before your ride and then set off to experience one of Kansas City’s most scenic and historic routes.
Your Pedicab Experience
Before the trip, each guest will receive a complimentary house soda or drip coffee to enjoy during the ride. Please check in 15 minutes before your scheduled tour at the admissions desk inside the Museum to get your complimentary drink.
Cruise the entire length of Cliff Drive, a scenic route regularly closed to motorized vehicles, aboard a pedicab. Along the way, make select stops at historic points of interest, including the steps to Scarritt Point, the Carl J. DiCapo Fountain, the Climbing Wall, and North Terrace Lake. At each stop, enjoy a pre-recorded history lesson narrated by a Museum curator, bringing the stories of Cliff Drive to life.
After your ride, stop by Elixir, the Museum Soda Fountain, located Downstairs at Corinthian Hall, where you’ll receive 10% off your purchase.
About Cliff Drive
Located within George E. Kessler Park in Historic Northeast Kansas City, Cliff Drive is part of the Kansas City, Missouri Park and Boulevard System. On June 2, 2000, Cliff Drive was officially designated a State Scenic Byway—one of only five in Missouri at the time. The byway stretches approximately 4.27 miles from The Paseo and Independence Avenue to Indian Mound on Gladstone Boulevard at Belmont Boulevard.
