Cosmo’s Story

Cosmo grew up in Central Arkansas, traveling and exploring all over the state with his family. Through his adventures, he found a love and appreciation for culture, community, and diversity.

He moved to Kansas City in 2018 to pursue his college education at the Kansas City Art Institute, graduating in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an Asian Studies certificate. He is a self-described “artist and creative” whose work has been in gallery showcases as well as being sold at art festivals and conventions.

A life-long love of museums led to him working for the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art from 2019 – 2022. In 2023, he began working for the Museum of Kansas City as a security officer and later moved to the position of Visitor Experience Associate in 2025.

Cosmo is proud of his queer identity and loves his found family with his whole heart.
