Kansas City Tweed Ride
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association cordially invites you to attend the revival of the Kansas City Tweed Ride! Please join us on Saturday, November 7th, 2026 for an afternoon of sophisticated social revelry upon the most marvelous machines ever devised.
Gather at the Colonnade for a frolic and merriment, then ride with use along picturesque Cliff Drive and through the Pendleton Heights and Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhoods, with a stop at the waterfall and concluding at The Museum of Kansas City. This ride is about style and elegance, not exertion; we’ll take a leisurely, family-friendly pace. Vintage, antique, or simply vintage-inspired costumes and decorations are encouraged, but all bikes and riders are welcome. There’s just one rule: no spandex!
The Route
Our 5 mile route will pass through two of the oldest and most historic neighborhoods of turn-of-the-century Kansas City with regrouping locations allowing for fine refreshment. This ride is about style and elegance, not exertion– we will travel at a leisurely pace.
Most of the route is car-free, but there will be some portions in mixed traffic on quiet residential streets.
The Tweed Ride is for everyone that wants to come out. Whether you have tweedy clothes or bikes is not important. We’d love to have you join us regardless, so just bring whatever bike you have and dress however you like. Let’s ride bikes and have a good time
Tweed Ride Food
Don’t forget to pack a picnic! We will conclude our ride at the historic east lawn at The Museum of Kansas City for a refreshing pause, live music, and prizes. Bring a blanket and lunch.
Elixir, located downstairs will be open, selling drinks to take to the lawn and offering a 10% discount to all those donning their finest apparel.
Please do not bring any outside alcoholic beverages.
