Connecting Cultures Across Kansas City: The Hand-in-Hand Folk Art Collection, on view through January 10, 2027, features more than 200 rarely seen works of folk art from across the globe, with a particular focus on pieces from Latin America and the American Southwest. This exhibition explores the ways in which folk art reflects shared values and human experiences across communities and cultures.

Join Christina Loya, Public Historian and Curator, for an engaging discussion exploring the creation of the exhibition.

Gain insight into the research, selection process, and stories behind the featured works, and discover how the Hand-in-Hand Folk Art Collection fosters a deeper understanding of the artists, traditions, and communities represented throughout the exhibition.
