In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month join us for a special screening of We Are Latinos which explores the stories, hopes and accomplishments of the vibrant Kansas City Latino community. The experiences of Latino artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, immigrants and proud Americans unfolds in this cinematic and beautifully short documentary series, highlighting the diversity of the community’s experiences in the metro.
Jenny Mendez who is a third-generation Mexican American artist born and raised on the west side of Kansas City and is cultural arts director at the Mattie Rhodes Center, will lead a discussion following the screening.
