(Re:)Writing History – A Restorative Poetics Writing Workshop invites participants to explore Kansas City’s complex and compelling past through the power of poetry.
Led by Glenn North, Poet-in-Residence at The Museum of Kansas City, this workshop will use the Museum’s permanent exhibit galleries as a springboard for reflection and creative expression. Participants will engage in guided writing prompts that reimagine and respond to historical narratives with a restorative lens. Through group discussion and poetic exploration, the workshop aims to center overlooked voices and spark meaningful dialogue about the city’s cultural memory.
All levels of writers are welcome to join in this transformative act of remembrance and creativity.
