Join us for a compelling virtual conversation with Dr. Dave Tell, author of Remembering Emmett Till and a leading voice in the field of public memory and racial justice. Dr. Tell will explore the enduring legacy of Emmett Till’s 1955 lynching — a brutal murder that galvanized the Civil Rights Movement — and the evolving ways in which this pivotal moment in American history is commemorated.

Drawing from his extensive research and involvement with the Emmett Till Memory Project, Dr. Tell will also discuss the creation and significance of the Emmett Till Memorial in Mississippi. This program will examine how sites of memory can serve as tools of resistance, education, and healing in the ongoing struggle for racial equity.

Don’t miss this opportunity to reflect on the power of memory, place, and storytelling in the fight for justice — past and present.
